Our Philosophy And How We Are Different

Metabolic Disorder Treatment Philosophy

Our Mission

To enhance the patient’s ability to proactively manage their individual health in order to achieve optimal wellness through permanent lifestyle changes

Our Philosophy

Don’t Diet. Change your diet.

We believe in empowering, educating and motivating our patients in how to make the necessary food choices and lifestyle changes needed to sustain a healthy weight.

We focus on whole patient wellness. We aim to treat each patient as an individual and in the most natural way possible. One of our main goals is to whenever possible, minimize the dependency of prescription medication through healthy weight management and lifestyle changes.

Through blood work and lab testing we are able to find the root cause of our patient’s health conditions. This approach allows us to choose a treatment based on the individual patient, not based on the generality of symptoms.

Our patients are treated based on the individual findings obtained from blood work and other FDA approved tests.

At TCMD we treat the cause, not the symptoms.

Our treatment includes a natural approach incorporated with the latest medical technology, patient education, and patient support to assist you in achieving your optimal wellness goals.

By understanding the root cause of weight gain, we are able to help you lose weight naturally and permanently, without drugs or surgery!

By understanding how to treat Metabolic Syndrome and Metabolic Disorder we are able to restore your metabolism as if we were setting your body back in time, or for some, to “healthy” for the first time.

What do we know that other clinics do not? The following information explains breakthrough research not yet understood by most other medical professionals.

Through research and studies we have identified three issues that cause people to gain weight and slow metabolism.

(1) The first issue is linked to your stomach.

Stomach issues are the most common cause of weight gain. Many patients experience bloating (after meals), heartburn and acid reflux. One or more of these symptoms indicates your stomach is not digesting food properly. Although, not all patients experience these discomforts.

It is necessary for your stomach to properly digest (break down) food so the nutrients can be appropriately absorbed into your blood stream. If the nutrients cannot be digested properly, the liver cannot break them down and remove fat from the body. This is the reason that many patients state they have been eating healthily and have restricted calories, yet they are unable to lose weight.

Typically, once digestion issues occur, they are here to stay. However, with our breakthrough treatments, we have found a way to repair and stabilize digestive function. Our patients begin to restore their metabolism and lose weight within the first week of our program!

(2) The second issue occurs in your intestines.

When people eat certain foods they are sensitive to, their bodies do not digest them appropriately. Often when undigested food particles enter into your intestines, irritation and inflammation occur. Once your intestines are irritated or inflamed, they are no longer able to transfer vital nutrients into the bloodstream. The underlying issue appears to be a mal-absorption problem (you are not absorbing nutrients that cannot be digested).

This condition is seldom detected by medical professionals because symptoms are often misdiagnosed as acid reflux, ulcers, stomach problems, irritable bowel syndrome and celiac disease. Although some patients do remain symptom free even though their digestive function has been altered.

(3) The third issue is your metabolism itself.

When you are not digesting properly, the less nutrients your body absorbs, the more fat your body stores. This is a survival mechanism because your body believes it is starving since it is not getting enough nutrients. Your body wants to hold onto fat for future use as energy for fear of starvation. This results in a change or slowing of your metabolism (the way the body burns fuel and fat). At this point, exercise and diet can actually backfire, forcing your body to store more fat.

When you say diet and exercise do not work, we believe you, because we have found this to be medically true. Within one month of treatment at TCMD the typical patient has already lost approximately 10-20 pounds. Safely and naturally! What’s more is that patients report a significant decrease in negative symptoms and an increase in energy and overall well being…all within the first 30 days!
